Our Mission
Japan’s islands are home to small, passionate breweries creating exceptional craft beers that reflect their natural surroundings and traditions. At Craft Beers from Japan’s Remote Islands, we aim to shine a spotlight on these breweries, connecting them with beer lovers worldwide.
Why Island Craft Beer?
Every island has its story, and every beer brewed there tells a part of it. Whether it’s a Belgian-style white ale infused with locally grown oranges or a stout crafted with volcanic spring water, these beers are a taste of their origin. By enjoying them, you’re not only savoring great beer but also supporting small communities and their sustainable efforts.

Our Promise to Featured Breweries
This site is run with a commitment to fostering trust and mutual respect with the breweries we feature. To this end, we promise the following:
1. Respect for “islands” and “beer”
As a passionate fan who supports beer-making on remote islands, I pledge to show the utmost respect for both the island communities and the craft of brewing. During brewery visits, I will adhere to local instructions and pay special attention to hygiene.
2. No negative information will be published
This site is not a news outlet or a review platform. I will not publish negative information. If I find a beer less enjoyable, I will either refrain from featuring it or avoid commenting on its taste. (I will not write that a beer is delicious if I do not believe it to be.)
3. Drafts will be provided for review prior to publication
Before publishing any article, I will, in principle, provide the draft for review, including text and photos, to the individuals or organizations involved. I will also do my best to respond promptly to any requests for edits or deletions after publication.
